When you are working for a large(r) corporation, where all fees (including EAD/AP) are paid for by the company, who pays for the MTR?
I was under the impression that the employer pays for the filing, attorney, etc. fees, am I wrong?
Depends on ur employer. Usually after AC21 - it is obvious that there is no fee involved and many companies hire you after ac21 because they do need to deal with stuff like this.
Your employer ONLY needs to give a letter as per the AC21 rule and thats it.

This is a real selfish forum, I will never participate in any phone campaigns here on. To me I see no reason why should I be calling for others if noone can call for our issue too.
I again urge people on this forum to please call / email the DOL asking why such a difference between two processing center.... I mean all those who have approved labor. We still have people at backlog center... I am ready to campaign for them or any other person .... But want check out if this is a real community or just selfish hoax forum ....

If somebody is sending this letter, please do not send it without taking care of word-suggested corrections. There are too many green lines, most of the times because of spacing between two words.

You got us this nice news. EB2 was stuck at april 04 for long. We saw this speculative forward move. It is going to stay in 2006 for a while as fewer LC were issued in 05 I donot see it retrogressed in next fiscal year

Or have hit midlife crisis? Now suddenly after reading all this I feel like giving up too... take whatever I have saved, put in the bank in our homeland and live on interest if I get 8% interest I will be happy, do charity work if possible start a business or just retire...no work... i believe the way it is going to proceed is if they don't have time to discuss everything they will discuss the rest in the senate floor. however if the conflicting ones like illegal aliens one, enforcement ones are resolved then this bill might go to the floor and the remaining ones would be discussed. hence if till tile 3 is over then this bill might be considered for vote on teh senate floor. this is my understnading based on what i heard.

Pushing too much requests into amendends means to get more risks to be removed /denied. Please satisfiy with 1/2 what you are dreaming of. In VA can we extend Driving License with receipt notice of h1 extension .
Hey,
I went to the VA DMV in Sterling yesterday and the person there refused to renew my DL based on my original H1B extension extension RECEIPT Notice, saying there is no 'Date' on this document. :mad: These ppl are too dumb. It says clearly on DMV's website - they will give you a 1 yr extension IF there is no date on that document. Need to take a lawyer and paralegal along next time... :confused:

This makes a lot of sense and so does the fact that GC wait times for EB immigrants be considered as part of citizenship waittime after 140 is appoved.
I think that wait time should be counted from the PD, since it's really not my fault that my stupid LC is pending since 2002! So I don't see why someone waiting with I140 approved since, say 2004, should become a citizen faster then someone who only gets a change to file I140 in 2006. Not fair at all!
Applying for the LC, I believe, is a sufficient proof that a person intends to stay in the country.

only solution is get rid of the country cap. Before anybody from ROW goes into a lecture about "diversity" blah blah blah please think with a rational mind. Getting rid of country quota is the only solution. things like increasing it to 10% etc will only reduce the backlog time for Indian applicants from 25 years to maybe 18 years.
My take is that Sen. Cornyn's bill is too ambitious and tries to solve ALL the problems. It is never going to fly, especially in this political environment.
We should focus on EB retrogression relief and try to get in only the absolute minimum relief needed to eliminate current backlogs.
In my opinion, this is the absolute minimum:
1) Clear DOL backlogs in BECs
2) Recapture lost visa numbers
3) Dont count dependants
4) Raise per-country cap to 10%
If we can only these rolled in to amendment, it should be easy to pass. We can start an awareness initiative to educate the senators and ensure it passes. If we shoot for too much, its next to impossible. Thats the sad reality.

I think it will be based on the receipt date because if we look at the Service Center Processing Dates, they mention "Now Processing Cases with Receipt Notice Date of".
